And here is what morning light brings...

Its looking a little different around here from yesterday! We now have about seven to eight inches of snow on the ground, and it is still snowing and blowing. Supposedly it will move on by about 5:00 this afternoon. Not much happening around town today ...other than the kids are getting their first real chance to play in the snow this winter!
After I turned off the lights to go to bed last night, I peeked out for a status report. I couldn't believe how bright it was at 11:00 at night! I know it is always brighter out when there is snow on the ground, but it was cloudy and snowing-obviously no moon to be seen. Where did all that light come from? This is my back yard...no street lights and no flash. I can rarely see my fence at this time of night let alone the details of my neighbors house. It was one of those moments of peace and beauty you would like to be able to capture and revisit!

    1. Fortunately our weather didn't get as bad as they had been telling for days that it was going to be. This is enough but nowhere near the 16 inches they said we could get!
I am counting on this disappearing soon.

  2. Beautiful, but I don't like snow LOL. Love pictures. We are instead having spring time weather and some folks had devastating storms last night, so sad

Stay warm Deb and don't get out in that mess

    1. I wondered if the storms missed you.
It is a GREAT day to be holed up in the sewing room! I'm finishing a pair of mice to relist that sold last week.

  3. Hi, Deb,
Funny thing...my patio table and chairs look just about the same! However, that is pretty crazy how you were able to capture those pictures at 11:00 last night.

I'm cleaning like a crazy woman today...and I hope to do some sewing this afternoon. I have a batch of fabrics for spring Infintiy Scarves.

    Have a creative day. ~Natalie

    1. Hi Natalie-
Hope your cleaning is done and you are busy sewing scarves!
Did you happen to look an see our bright night?

  4. Snow sure is pretty to look at, makes everything look so clean and crisp. I just don't like having to deal with it . . . driving, shoveling, the salt, UGH! We have had a super mild winter here in central Ohio. 65 today, but now there are tornado watches out, really weird for end of February!
    Stay Warm!
    Warm Wishes,

    1. There really has been some weird February weather. Guess I will take the snow over a tornado. I saw all the watches and warnings your way on the new this morning. Hopefully the weather will quiet down!
      Stay safe,

  5. OMGoodness, you're blanketed. We've gotten 12 inches of rain or more in southeast Ohio. It poured all afternoon.

    1. Oh my gosh- I think I will take the 9 inches of snow. Hopefully it has stopped raining by now and you aren't floating away. It looks like our weather has passed-the wind has even gone down.
      What crazy February weather!!
      Stay dry-

  7. I've definately had enough of winter too-even though it has been one of the 5 warmest on record for us. I love the last 2 pictures-it was such a magical looking, bright night. It gave life to the words from the Christmas story 'it looked like day in the middle of the night, as the moon gave luster to the new fallen snow' or something like that.
