Another Indiana Trip

I am back from another visit with my daughters, grandson and son-in-law. The time flies so fast but we made the most of it...we did some shopping, played with baby, did some yard work and painting, played with baby some more and just had lots of fun!  We added lots of great times to the memory bank!
These are my beautiful daughters and adorable grandson...appears my girls are not the only ones who like cheese!
This area of the yard was in need of a little attention...seems baby Greyson has been monopolizing Mom & Dad's time in a big way! We grabbed some bags and started pulling, cleaning and moving plants.
After cleaning, we added a layer of mulch to the whole area. This bird bath seemed like the perfect addition in the middle of this circle of plants.
We ended up with a great open space, so off we went on a shopping mission to find something to fill it. We come up with this swing and thought it would do the job.
Greyson seems to think it was a great idea!
He also had fun on the shopping trip with Mom and Grandma.
Vicki and I are trying out a new recipe from her pinterest boards when we get together. This time is was peanut butter cookies, covered with a chocolate mixture, then coated with powdered sugar....YUMMY!  Reminds one of puppy chow.
And so the end to another week with my sweet grandson. It is always so hard to leave. He will be bringing Mom and Dad to stay with Grandpa & Grandma the end of next month. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the end of July! Not sure why his shirt says Grandpa is the best!?!

Now its time to get back to my craft studio and work on some more new patterns-
Take care,

Back in my studio...

Gosh, its only been a few weeks since I've sat down at my sewing machine, but it seems like forever! It is nice to have my projects done, now I can get on with things a little less physical! Looks like I just beat the heat, too! Its been getting into the upper 80's to low 90's...definitely a good time to be inside in my studio.

Its time to start getting ready for those Fall craft shows. Here is the pattern I decided to make up first-a pair of witch boots with a tea lite and a 'Witchy Welcome' tag by ORP.
I have so many new patterns to make for this fall and winter I hardly know where to start... I have a cat and two different witches cut out to do next.
I am really itching to get to some new snowman patterns I have as they are my favorite to make, but I figure Halloween and Fall come first!

Everyone have a great weekend...see ya next week with more new creations.

Closet project done!

I'm done with my big summer projects-hurrah!! Can you hear my huge sign of relief?  Here is my walk in closet with wall paper and carpet removed, and walls patched. Our home had LOTS of wallpaper when we moved in, and most of it was over bare sheet rock...not good. This closet is one of the last rooms I have to tackle. You can see the original closet size from the remaining 'divider' in the ceiling. We expanded it earlier and re-wall papered at the time...pretty silly in hind sight!
And here it is all painted with new carpet and the bars, drawers and shelves re-installed. Amazing what a difference a can of paint, piece of carpet and a few of days of elbow grease can make. (Things seems to take so much longer in life than in my mind!) I painted the attached bathroom to match while I was at it...I am just a glutton for punishment (so I have been told).
I had to add a few more pictures of my back yard. It is very shaded so you can see I have LOTS of hostas (over 100 different ones at my last count). There are coral bells, ferns, astilbee, pig squeek, clematis and some grasses in between hostas. I have everything from giants, like the T-Rex next to the angel in the first picture, to some tiny Pandora's Box and Mouse ears at the bottom of the second picture... unfortunately they don't show up very well (dang amateur photographer).

I can hear my craft room calling- I can hardly wait to get back to less labor intensive activity! Hopefully next week I will actually have pictures to share of new items for my Etsy shop. What a thought!
Everyone take care and have a great day-
